The General Office of Ganzhou Municipal Government is an all-around office which assists government leaders with governmental daily affairs. Under the leadership of the Secretary-General, this office is mainly in charge of investigation and research, integrative coordination, conference organizing, information inspection, nationality and religion affairs, public anti-aircraft defense, and so on.
Principal Functions:
Take charge of the organizing work of the government's conferences, and help government leaders carry out the decided resolutions.
Help government leaders organize relevant offices or commissions to draft documents or draft documents on its own, verify and release documents in the city government's name or the office's name.
Circulate documents from central party committee, State Council, provincial party committee, provincial government and its each department, or municipal party committee, then raise its opinions on how to carry out the documents, and report its opinions to government leaders who will decide.
Study the problems reported to the municipal government by various departments of the municipal government and country(district) governments carefully and propose verifying suggestions and report them to government leaders to decide.
Propose possible solutions to controversial matters which has already been discussed and consulted mutually by relevant departments according to government leaders' directions.
Supervise and urge each departments of the government and country(district) government to carry out resolutions decided by provincial party committee, municipal government's documents or meetings and leaders' relevant directions. Keep an eye on the implementing situation of each decision and keep track of the situations to research and study. Meanwhile report relevant information to government leaders without delay.
Be responsible for the communication with the office of the municipal people's congress Standing Committee and the office of municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. Organize and supervise relevant departments to respond to MPC members' suggestions and Municipal Committee of CPPCC members' proposals.
Organize special investigation and research according to government leaders' relevant directions and reflect new situation and propose suggestions in time.
Take charge of the on-watch work of the municipal government and the whole city's governmental system information work. Report to government leaders important news and information in time and help to deal with the problems raised to the municipal government.
 Assist the government leaders with the legislation work, nationality and religion affairs, government infomationization and public anti-aircraft defense work.
 Help government leaders cope with outburst issues and great incidents which should be handled directly by the municipal government.
To undertake other tasks assigned by government leaders.
