Ganzhou Municipal Bureau of Supervision is the department, under the municipal government, which is in charge of administrative supervision. In the light of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Administrative Supervision, it shall exercise supervision over all departments under the municipal government, State civil servants working in the above-mentioned departments, other officials appointed by the municipal government or departments under it, and people's governments of the countries and the leading members of such governments. Ganzhou Municipal Bureau of Supervision and Ganzhou Municipal Disciplinary Committee follow the same operative organ; with two different department names, they exercise disciplinary supervision over the communist party and administrative supervision over the government at the same time.
Principal Functions:
To take charge of municipal administrative supervision, the implementation of central, provincial and municipal governments' decisions on administrative supervision, and inspection of supervision objects' implementation of national laws, regulations and policies as well as the municipal government's decisions and decrees.
To accept and handle accusations and expositions against administrative organs or public servants of the State or other officials appointed by such organs that violate rules of administrative discipline; to investigate and handle violations of rules of administrative discipline committed by administrative organs or public servants of the State or other officials appointed by such organs; to make supervision sanctions or propose supervision suggestions according to the degree of the violations committed; to accept and handle appeals presented by public servants of the State who refuse to accept administrative sanctions made by the relevant administrative organs.
 To publicize relevant policies, laws and regulations in co-operations with other departments, and teach supervision objects to observe disciplines obey laws and be incorruptible.
 To investigate and study decisions and regulations made by departments under the municipal government or people's governments of countries, propose modifying or complementary suggestions when those decisions or regulations are against laws or national interests, and alter or withdraw inappropriate decisions or regulations made by country departments of administrative supervision.
To investigate and study theories of administrative supervision and relevant problems; to co-operate with other departments to carry through the management of supervision over cadres; to organize and direct the training programs for municipal cadres within the administrative supervision system.
 To under take other tasks authorized or assigned by the municipal government.
