Ganzhou Municipal Party Committee and Ganzhou Government recently put forth some preferential policies to develop the tourism, aiming at building Ganzhou a big eco-tourism city and a famous tourist destination.

It is learned that, from 2010, the Municipal Finance Department will arrange 5 million yuan special fund for tourism annually. The municipal city and all counties (cities, districts) will plan the fund into the annual budget to be appropriate to the local economic growth.

The special fund will be used for tourism planning, the construction of tourist infrastructure, festival activities, tourism promotion and tourist personnel training, etc.

In accordance with the city's tourism planning, the administrative fees and service charges will be half reduced to the tourist projects newly built and expanded by solely investment, jointed venture and cooperation (such as tourist scenic spots, tourist hotels above 4-star level and large-scale entertainment facilities, etc.), when approved by the departments of construction, tourism and finance, etc.

The Municipal Government will give one-time award to the tourist scenic areas (spots) that are newly assessed above the national 3A Level and the tourist hotels that are assessed above 3-star (including 3-star) one year after opening. The latter will enjoy favorable fees in electricity, water and gas.
